Representatives of Itisaluna and Kalimat Companies visited the headquarter of the CMC on Wednesday, 17/3/2010 for Internet and communication services in Iraq, a meeting was held between representatives of the two companies and the CEO of the Commission Dr.. Burhan Shawi, in addition the manager of the department of organizing the spectrum and contracts manager in the Legal Department.

Axes of the meeting dealt with the Commission's tasks and its role in the protection the investing telecom companies in Iraq and licensed by the Commission, as the delegation of the two companies pointed that there's a number of companies not licensed in the field of communications and the Internet, and offering their services to consumers at competitive prices affect them economically and professionally, in addition to the use of such these unlicensed Companies of frequencies interfere with the frequencies of Itisaluna and Kalimat Companies, which negatively affects on the functioning and cause several technical problems to them.
In this regard, Dr.Shawi pointing out that the Commission is fully informed on the existence of non-licensed companies such this, as the Commission made in recent days legal proceedings against some of the companies, and it had been put out of action, and now there is legal procedures will be taken against other companies, especially in some provinces, which it does not have a license.
And at the technical field the director of the frequencies spectrum of the willingness of the Commission to solve all technical problems especially with regard to frequency interference between Itisaluna and Kalimat Companies and non-licensed companies. He also stressed that the wheels of radio monitoring of the Commission is performing scanning frequencies process to detect the broadcasting trends of the spectrum and knowing the entities sites which work without a license to stop it.
The visiting delegation expressed its full readiness to cooperate with the Commission in all fields to solve the problem of those unlicensed companies, and the head of the delegation stressed his readiness to form joint work committees with the Commission to study these problems and solve it as quickly as possible.
At the end of the meeting, the CEO of the Commission Dr. Burhan Shawi confirmed that legal procedures in accordance with the rule of the commission will be taken to solve these problems in the near future, and also welcomed the continuing meetings between the Commission and both companies to discuss in solving the technical or financial or legal matters which related to work, starting from the commitment of the Commission on development the cooperation ways between them and communications services companies operating in Iraq.
