The CMC participates in a workshop of the e-government which held in Arbil province in Kurdistan Region for the period from 12 to 15/4/2010, it was attended by Dr. Sirkawt Namiq Abdullah Member of the Trustees Council of the Commission as its representative, and a number of the international experts who specialists of the e-government affairs, in addition to a number of representatives of the Iraqi Ministries.
The work and the mechanism of the Estonian and engineering experience of the e-government had been shown at the workshop, as it also had been discussed where that project reach in Iraq, and the main obstacles which affect on the success process, and the CMC participates actively in these discussions as happened through it the crystallizing of an initial idea of the Iraqi vision of the e-governmental project, and the most important priorities required to complete this work.
Especially, that this project will give many benefits to Iraq, mainly to facilitate the process of provision various services to the citizens, and improving the government efficiency by providing faster and more services to citizens in all fields, and at the end of this workshop Dr.Sirkawt Namiq Abdullah clarified that the Commission had agreed in principle with the Iraqi communications ministry for granting the required frequencies for the communications system for the success of the e-governmental project in Iraq according to the established standards internationally.
