A delegation of Trustees Council of the CMC visited on Monday, 3/5/2010 at the headquarters of the institution of the political prisoners, and the visit was at the invitation which addressed by the institution of the political prisoners of the Commission, and the delegation of the Commission headed by Dr. Safa Al-Din Rabe'a the Chairman of the Trustees Council and the members of the Council, Dr.. Sirkawt Namik Abdullah , Eng. Ahmed Al-Omari, as they met with the head of the institution of the political prisoners in agent, Minister of Youth and Sports Eng. Jassim Mohammed Ja’afar, and the Inspector-General of the institution and the members of the Protection Council.
At the beginning of the meeting, the Minister had clarified the nature of the work of the institution and what it suffered from constraints and the try to overcome them, as Dr. Safa’a al-Din Rabe’a also spoke about the nature of the formation and structure of the Commission and the mechanism of its work and independence and its role in organizing Media and Communications sector and monitor the work of mobile phone companies which operates in Iraq, to improve the quality of the communication and services which provided by these companies to the citizens, while the audience dealt to the Commission's role in the field of activating the service of the Iraqi National website (IQ) on the international Web of the Internet, As this service became now open for all formal and informal institutions and even for individuals, and the two parties discussed also the prospect of joint cooperation which contributes to the success of the work of the institution and Commission together.
At the end of the meeting, the Chairman of the Trustees Council expressed the Commission’s readiness to provide assistance to the institution of political prisoners in the case of their need, in application of the principle of joint cooperation between the state’s institutions and its official Departments
