CMC formed a committee to study the situation of the mechanism of calculating the tariff of the fees of the services provided by the Mobile Phone Companies after the transfer to the Iraqi Dinar, and it included representatives of the legal, Financial Departments and the department of managing and organizing of frequencies spectrum department at the Commission, and the committee reached to the existence of the increasing in the suggested prices to the one second by those Companies. The Committee clarified that putting the structures of the prices is a subject needs to advisory Companies to study the Iraqi market and the level of the individual income, and other from the other data. And the committee produced a number of suggestions:
- Calculating the fees of the services depending on the prices before 31.3.2010 just before the transfer to the second’s system and calculating the fees with the Iraqi Dinar as it must be the prices of the provided services currently similar and identical to the price of the services when it was with minutes and Dollar, and the price of the Dollar’s exchange adopted according to the price of the exchange of the Iraqi Dinar in the Central Bank.
- Canceling or reducing the cost which imposed on the first second or at the beginning of the call to be 15 Iraqi Dinar as maximum inside the network and 25 Iraqi Dinar as maximum outside the network on the basis of the agreement with the Legal Department.
- The transfer had been performed on all the lines to the minutes’ service and clarifying this mechanism to the participants and the representatives of the committee confirmed the necessity of confirmation on Asia Cell Company to transfer all its lines to the second’s system. Also the representatives of the committee clarified the obligation of selling the scratch cards in Iraqi Dinar in the real price the credit that contained in the card.
- The committee noticed that the Mobile Phone Companies were trying during the new tariff to keep the level of its previous large profits.
