A periodical meeting held at CMC’s headquarter on Tuesday, 18.5.2010 to follow up the performance of telecom companies operating in Iraq, between the Department of managing and organizing the frequency spectrum of the Commission and Korek Company, The meeting included a number of  professionals working in the Commission, also represented Korek Company the manager of the center and south at the company Dr. Fadel Al-Tusi and Association Administrator of the central and southern of Iraq at the company, Mr. Tamim Jabbar.

The attendance discussed various technical issues concerning the work of Korek Company, most notably issue is the use of the gates of international access by the company, and the issue of Interconnection between the Korek and the General Company for Communications and Posts and activated it as the items of the contract’s items which concluded with the Commission, the representative of the Company wandered about the technical and the management procedures, and in this regard it had  been informed that the Commission will be meeting at the Ministry of Communications with the mobile phone companies each individually and in the presence of senior management of the Commission, the Administration of managing and organizing of the frequency spectrum pointed that Commission continues to achieve the Interconnection between mobile phone companies, so that the citizen a unique Sim Card make him able to reach all the networks of these companies.

From its side, the administration of managing and organizing the frequency spectrum demanded from the Company the necessity providing it with a periodical and technical reports on the level of publishing services in the whole of Iraq, and producing reports on time-bound plan to implement and deploy that service, and also providing full information to the Commission on the network of Korek and the level of coverage in Baghdad and the provinces and maps which related on the location of towers, and in this regard the representative of Korek Company asserted that these reports will be sent, but after performing the timetable of the deployment plan of this service by specialized international companies in this field.
